Party gridlock to cause new debt crisis?
About as efficient as Congressional partisanship?Dysfunctional. That's what Senator Evan Bayh, a centrist Democrat, called Congress earlier this week.
So what? It's just politics as usual, right?
Wrong. Economists are worried that decades of such partisanship coupled with the current recession have pushed America to the tipping point of great danger, particularly in terms of America's every growing and staggering large national debt. Yet, few politicians seem interested in anything other than blame, although most experts believe that both sides are deserving off blame according to a recent NYTimes piece.
Really, can there be any doubt that our politicians are failing us, on both sides of the aisle?
Isn't it simply time to start anew? Isn't it time to vote out the incumbents, regardless of party? Isn't it time for real change?
